Tired of the same Thursday night routine? Come drink wine in a room full of glowing, one-of-a-kind blown glass — and meet the ex-SpaceX engineer who made it.
Paul Lasman spent the last chapter of his career as a senior mechanical designer at SpaceX. Now he blows glass the way you'd build a rocket: with total control, and a little controlled chaos. His son Jeremy opened Stellar Art Gallery in Torrance to give that work a room of its own — the South Bay's first dedicated blown-glass gallery, plus ceramics, glassware, and photography from three more local artists.
This is a casual after-hours mixer, not a lecture and not a sales pitch. Wander, look closely, ask Paul anything, meet your neighbors. No art background needed. No pressure to buy a thing.
Free. Bring a friend.
Practical stuff: 24409 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance. Park in the public lot behind the building and come in the front door. It's mostly standing room, with limited seating if you need a perch. Light refreshments, 6–8 PM.
