Haywards Heath Happy Ladies Book Club
The good thing about the Happy Ladies Book Club is that collectively we are finding that we are discovering books that we wouldn’t ordinarily read. Sometimes we find hidden gems and sometimes some of us don’t finish a book because it’s not our thing but that’s ok. We just discuss what we liked and what we didn’t and usually we find something about the book that we had missed. Our member’s selection for September 20th is “Midnight Train” by Matt Haig When your life flashes before your eyes, what will matter most? For Wilbur it was his time with Maggie, the love of his life. Their honeymoon in Venice. Before he threw it all away. Years later, on the brink of his own death, a train arrives. It can take Wilbur back in time. To relive his most important moments. Soon he realises just how much he would have changed. This is an adventure through time, Join us at Miller & Carter HH and tell us what you think about “Midnight Train” Our member’s selection for October 11th is “Not Dead Yet” by Peter James Synopsis: The return of a Brighton girl turned movie star spells nothing but trouble for Detective Superintendent Roy Grace in the gripping crime novel Not Dead Yet, by award winning author Peter James. All attendees will have the opportunity to choose a book so please bring your selection for future months.
