The imaginary worlds of science fiction and fantasy have long been used as playgrounds for authors to describe economic systems different from the free-market capitalism which most contemporary human societies have converged upon.

In this meeting we are interested in these alternative economic systems, regardless if they play a central role in the novel, or are just a side remark. Whatever your choice, you are cordially invited to present one or more genre books (science fiction, fantasy, horror, etc) that made you think of alternative economic systems!

Afterwards we will have a casual and friendly chat about the books, about alternative economic systems, and wherever else the conversation takes us!

You are of course welcome to bring the books you want to discuss, but it's also fine if you don't.
