English Book Club: Amal El-Mohtar -- The river has roots

The last book club this year is about this multiple awards-winning novella by Amal El-Mohtar -- The river has roots. Fairies have a special place in fantasy literature, sometimes focusing on their immortality, beauty, perfection frozen in the past a la Tolkien's elves... this one keeps both the timeless and eerie qualities of the fairfolk to tell a story about sisterhood, crossroads and riddles. Don't eat anything, and be careful with names.

The book has been published in Hungarian translation as well, and it is only 100 pages.

This meetup will be held in English, we only switch to Hungarian if everyone present can speak it on native level. This group is a book club for women, the event is for women only. (If you have any questions, contact the organiser.) Thank you.
