CNPS Executive Director Jun Bando

Native plants are far more than beautiful components of our landscapes. They form the foundation of the unique web of life found in California, support resilient landscapes, and help people reconnect with nature close to home. This presentation will explore why native plants matter, the challenges facing California’s ecosystems, and how the California Native Plant Society is working with communities across the state to protect, steward, and celebrate California’s native plants and special places. Participants will leave with practical ideas for making a difference in their own gardens, neighborhoods, and communities.
