Exploring the Sky in Rock Creek Nat'l Park

View the Moon and other targets from the large field in Rock Creek Park near picnic grove 13 and the corner of Military and Glover Roads, NW. There is plenty of parking, and the event is free and open to the public. This is International Observe the Moon night, when it's ok to be a bit of a Lunatic! Exploring the Sky has been going on since 1948 in the same location, in cooperation between National Capital Astronomers (a 510c3 non-profit) and the National Park Service.
