Join us as we make our way to the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign at the top of the ski slopes at Lee Canyon. Let's splash the mountain with pink shirts in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
PLEASE NOTE THE 9:30 START TIME TO BEAT THE YOGA TRAFFIC.

This is the perfect hike for advanced beginners to challenge themselves and enough of a workout for our intermediate hikers.

The trailhead starts at the bottom of the ski slopes in Lee Canyon. There is a large paved parking area and restrooms. We will meet under the Lee Canyon sign. (See pic)

We will start at an elevation of around 8688' making it at least 20° cooler. The hike is 3.7 miles with a total elevation gain of 711'. The top of the ski slopes sits at 9,340.'

We will start our hike passing under ski lifts and into a small wooded area. We will come out of the woods into a clearing and pass under another set of sea lifts. We will then go back into the pines and start making our way up to the top of the ski slopes. When we make it to the top we will take advantage of the cool temps and the beautiful views and hang out for a few minutes before heading back down.

Terrain & Scenery: This is a typical hiking trail with dirt and loose rocks. The trail is a series of switchbacks, some of them steep. There are areas where the trail will level out where we can stop and catch our breath. The trail is wide enough to not get bit by the brush, so shorts are ok. Hiking poles may come in handy on the way down. There are plenty of photo ops and you will smell pine.

Trail Type: Up and Back.

Parking: Park anywhere at the Lee Canyon Ski Area. Meet under the Lee Canyon sign and from there we will head over to the restrooms and then start our hike.

Directions: if you put Lee Canyon Ski Resort In your Navi you will find us. The address is 6725 Lee Canyon Rd. For those who use the All Trails app you can download and use the directions for the High Pines Trail.

Driving Directions: Follow Lee Canyon Rd until you get to the end.

This is a group hike led at a social pace to encourage conversation, connection, and meeting new people while enjoying the outdoors. We'll take breaks as needed, stay together as a group, and focus on having a fun, welcoming experience rather than hiking for speed. Whether it's your first time joining the Sundays at 10 Hiking Series or you're a regular, everyone is welcome!

Guests must be 21. No fur babies
