Local Walk: Giffard's Cross to Codsall

Another new route variant for us, around peaceful countryside, along the M54 corridor between Brewood and Codsall

Logistics:
Meet: 10:20 check-in, to start within 10 minutes, or earlier if all visible are ready.
Distance: Around 9 miles
Start Point: Giffard's Cross car park (free), on unnamed road at it's junction with Port Lane, WV9 5BG J1.
Note: See map links, as postcode is only approximate, and see alternative car park nearby shown on the map on Park Lane
Terrain: Mix of woodland, towpath, meadows and fields, and quiet lanes.

Map: Streetmap.co.uk - Map of 387970,307317
Earth View: Brewood, England - Google Maps

Refreshments: Picnic stop, and a good pub stop in Codsall (not for full meals, as we won't be there long enough).
Bring: Waterproofs & Refreshments & Good walking footwear, and clothing to match the weather.
Guests: Under 16s & dogs (behaved, under control) may attend as guests.
Emergency Contact: 078.137.37.623, though not available for travel advice or routine lateness problems. Today's walk leader is Paul W.

Safety:
As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety, and must be comfortable walking the specified distance please.
RSVP Commitment:
Places are not unlimited, so withdrawing in the last 24 hours is impolite. Attendances shouldn't be compromised by ghosting (no-shows, late withdrawals).
