From The Lighthouse to the Sea; Highlands, NJ

The weather will be nice and the views will be spectacular from the Twin Lights.

Note Start Time is @ 9:00am.
On Sunday, November 8th @ 9:00am. I invite you all to join me for a walk from Sandy Hook's Gateway National Park (a.k.a. "The Sea") to the Historic Twin Lights (a.k.a. "The Lighthouse") in Highlands, NJ. The walk is approximately 3 miles Total. This is a beautiful walk with panoramic views from the Highlands Bridge as well as the Twin Lights!
\\ We will meet at Sandy Hook "Parking Lot B", next the Rest Rooms. It's the First "Public" Parking lot on the right after you Past Through the entrance gate. Which BTW, is a Free Entry 👍
We will walk the path up to the Highlands Bridge, cross the bridge and follow the road up the hill to the Twin Lights. There are NO Sidewalks on Light House Road, so "Caution Is Advised" ! We need to keep to the side of the road so cars can pass.
The hardest part is the last three-tenths of the mile on the road to the lighthouse...The first 1/10th is a steady incline, the last 2/10ths are steep.
But the reward is at the top! Not sure if we can go inside the lighthouse and climb the tower or not. But either way, Their are outstanding views of the Atlantic Ocean, Shrewsbury River, New York, Highlands, Sandy Hook and Sea Bright.
Please Bring Water To Stay Hydrated.
