OK so first off it's only sort of a monthly Scrambled Legs..... This month we will be spending the day walking and having a mooch around Heaton Park. Heaton Park is the largest municipal park in Europe, spanning over 600 acres in north Manchester. It features a wide range of attractions, including the historic Grade I-listed Heaton Hall, an animal farm, boating lake, golf courses, Zip World, and the UK's longest tube slide.Key Facilities & ActivitiesHeaton Hall: An 18th-century neoclassical country house remodelled by architect James Wyatt. Open to the public for occasional tours and exhibitions. There's no rush, no route, just you and your fellow buddy's enjoying a day out. Normal buddy club rules apply, don't forget to bring a drink and a packed lunch, although if you forget there are 4 cafes around the park. There's also the Animal Centre: Free to enter and home to farmyard animals, alpacas, and peacocks.Thrill & Adventure: Features Zip World Manchester (treetop nets and obstacles) and the UK's longest tube slide.Sports & Leisure: An 18-hole golf course, driving range, bowling greens, and seasonal boating on the lake.Transport: The park features traditional 1900s heritage tram rides across the grounds.
