Sichuan Mahjong Night: A Classic Chinese Social Game

Note: This is a paid event. You may know Sichuan for its famous spicy food 🌶️, but there is another much-loved part of the local culture: Sichuan Mahjong. 🀄 Mahjong is a traditional Chinese board game, usually played by four people, where players draw and discard tiles to build a winning hand. There are many different styles of mahjong. For this event, we play Sichuan Mahjong, one of the most popular variants in China. It’s super easy and perfect for a relaxed social game night. 🤩 ✨ What to Expect We’ll start with a short introduction to the game setup and rules. After that, we’ll split into groups and start playing. If this is your very first time seeing mahjong tiles, that’s completely fine. 🙌 There will be people around throughout the session to help you. If you already know how to play Mahjong, you’re very welcome to join too. Just swing by and have some fun with the group. 😁 💰 Tables & Fee We play on automatic mahjong tables. The fee is 135 SEK per person for the whole session. Tea and coffee are included. Payment is done on site via Swish or card. 💬 We have a Sichuan Mahjong chat in our Messenger Community where local players can stay in touch and arrange games outside of events.
