To be or not to be? That is the question for tonight. This is a question which will have touched everyone at some point. Recent news about the assisted dying bill has ignited the whole debate again. Are there any circumstances when being helped to die is warranted or even the morally right thing to do or is this a line that should never be crossed? This issue often divides those of faith particularly Christians and those without although not exclusively.
This is a very contentious topic and I will ask people to be particularly sensitive to others opinions and beliefs in this debate. We are not here to score points and 'win' the argument but to explore the ideas around this issue.
Apologies for changing the date we had initially agreed I realise this is falls on Guy Fawlkes night and may not be suitable for everyone. I hope as many as possible can still come especially after such a good turnout last month. I look forward to seeing you all again. Also please remember to spend a little time thinking about a pitch for the next meetup before we next meet.
