Book Shop Hop + Cafe

Event details: Calling all book lovers — let's spend a Sunday exploring some of Brisbane's independent bookshops! We'll meet at Avid Reader in West End and start with a browse before walking the very short distance to Bent Books, where we'll have more time to hunt through the shelves and see what we can find. From there, we'll make our way down to the river and catch the CityCat over to New Farm, making the journey part of the meetup rather than attempting some ridiculous cross-city hike. 😄 Once we're in New Farm, we'll head to Mary Ryan's Fine Books & Things for another browse before finding somewhere nearby for coffee and/or food. Running late or can't fund us? If you're arriving late or get separated from the group, check the comments on this meetup. I'll leave an update with our current location whenever we've moved on to the next bookshop or stopped somewhere for food/coffee. The exact CityCat departure and where we stop for food will be worked out on the day. Come along for one bookshop, all three, the river trip, or just the general excuse to spend a Sunday browsing books with good company. Personal disclaimer: I've run a number of meetups in the past (in Sydney) and attended many more (all over the world), and I have learned it best not to give anyone my phone number straight away.
