Shabbat in the City

Let’s start the New Year by building community! We’re forming a Shabbat group for monthly dinners filled with good food, meaningful conversation, and a peaceful evening together. We hope to rotate locations among members who would like to host.
I’m excited to host our first gathering and welcome anyone who would like to celebrate Shabbat in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

What to bring

This will be a potluck dinner. Please bring a dish or beverage to share with approximately 10 people. I’ll be making chicken shawarma!
Some ideas include:

Salad, rice, or a vegetable side dish
Challah
Wine or grape juice
Dessert

Please comment with what you plan to bring and note any allergens in your dish so everyone can plan accordingly.

Shared room cost

The room rental is $200, and I’m asking that we share the cost among 10 attendees, with a contribution of $20 per person. If the contribution is a financial hardship, please don’t feel obligated to pay or pay what you able to. Your presence is what matters most, and you are warmly welcome either way!
