Humanism and AI Discussion
How will AI impact the 10 Commitments of Humanism? Humanists eschew seeking supernatural help, figuring that humans are both responsible and most capable, but how does AI fit into that, being created by humans as a problem-solving tool? Could AI become such a crutch that we lose the very ability to practice critical thinking in its absence? How might it impact equality or equity among humans, and/or our ability to thrive and excel? Join HGP members Amanda Feller, PhD, and David DiNucci, PhD, for a discussion, extending the topic of the HGP Del Allen Scholarship essays (June 21 Program and June newsletter).
Programs are presented in four broad areas relevant to Humanism:
Human Well-Being
Science and Reason
Secularism
Humanities, Culture, and Morality
