San Francisco Spinning Gold: Vinyl Digging Basics

If you have been wanting to start a vinyl collection but feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of crates in San Francisco record stores, this gathering is for you. We are getting together to demystify the process of digging, covering everything from how to flip through records efficiently to identifying which pressings are worth your time. This is a low-pressure environment meant for folks who are just starting out and want to learn the ropes alongside others who are also building their libraries.

We will meet up to share some tips on what to look for when inspecting used vinyl and discuss how to spot hidden gems in local shops. Whether you are hunting for specific genres or just trying to find your first few essential albums, come prepared to talk music and pick up a few practical skills. Please RSVP if you can make it so I have a rough idea of how many people to expect.
