Book of the Month: The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones
Book Summary
A 1912 journal hidden inside a wall reveals the unsettling confessions of Weasel Plume, a Blackfeet man with unnatural longevity and a dark hunger. He stalks the frontier on a relentless crusade, tracking down the perpetrators of the mass buffalo slaughter and the devastating violence brought upon his people.
As a frontier pastor transcribes these chilling late-night visits, a tense psychological game of cat-and-mouse unfolds inside the parish. It soon becomes clear that Weasel Plume hasn't come to seek absolution for his violent path, but to demand a final, inescapable reckoning.
