Welcome to the first session of the newly relaunched Westside Badminton Club – WSBC! PLAY • COMPETE • CONNECT Join us for 2.5 hours of quality badminton at our new home in Isleworth, West London. The session is aimed at intermediate to advanced players who enjoy competitive games but also want a friendly, relaxed and sociable club atmosphere. 📍 SESSION DETAILS 📅 Wednesday 9 September 2026 🕡 6:30pm–9pm 📍 Nishkam School, Isleworth, West London 💷 £12 per person 🏆 Intermediate–Advanced level 🪶 High-quality feather shuttlecocks provided 🚗 Free on-site parking with ample spaces available Games will predominantly be doubles, with players rotating throughout the evening so you get the opportunity to play with and against different members. 🏆 PLAYING LEVEL This session is intended for intermediate to advanced players and unfortunately isn’t suitable for complete beginners. As a general guide, you should be comfortable with serving consistently, clearing from the back of the court, smashing and defending, maintaining rallies and understanding basic doubles positioning and movement. The aim isn’t to make things overly serious — we simply want to maintain a good enough standard that everyone gets enjoyable and competitive games. 🎯 COACHING Want to work on your game? Coaching is also available at an additional charge for anyone looking to improve their technique, movement, tactics or overall playing standard. Please DM me if you’re interested. 🍻 PLAY • COMPETE • CONNECT WSBC isn’t intended to be somewhere you simply turn up, play and leave. We’re also building a social side to the club, with drinks and food at a local pub every alternate week after badminton for anyone who would like to join. Completely optional — just a chance to relax and get to know the people you’re playing with off court too. 🎒 WHAT TO BRING Please bring: Your own badminton racket Suitable sports clothing Non-marking indoor court shoes Water Shuttlecocks will be provided. ✅ RSVP & CANCELLATIONS Places are limited, so please only RSVP if you genuinely intend to attend. If your plans change, please update your RSVP as early as possible so another player on the waiting list can take your place. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect future bookings — simply to keep things fair for everyone. ⚠️ HEALTH & SAFETY Badminton is a physically demanding activity and players participate at their own risk.
