Join Oregano Food Friends for a special culinary adventure in Budapest! We’re bringing together a small group of food lovers to experience an exceptional Michelin-starred dinner, explore one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, and enjoy a memorable weekend together.

This is more than a dinner. It’s a chance to discover Budapest, enjoy extraordinary cuisine, and meet people who share a passion for food and travel.

🚆 Saturday, 19 December — Travel & Discover Budapest

10:27 — Train from Vienna Hauptbahnhof

For those who would like to travel together, our suggested train departs Vienna Hauptbahnhof at 10:27.

I’ll share the train booking link so everyone can purchase their own ticket.

Travelling together is optional. You’re free to choose whichever means of transport suits you best.

Arrival in Budapest — Check in & Settle In

After arriving, we’ll head to our respective accommodations and take some time to settle in.

Everyone is responsible for arranging their own accommodation. You can book a private hotel room or Airbnb, arrange to share with someone by mutual agreement, or return to Vienna on Saturday evening.

As the organiser, I’ll personally book an Airbnb and stay overnight.

Afternoon — Explore Budapest

We’ll meet up and discover the city together, walking along the Danube and enjoying views of the Hungarian Parliament, Chain Bridge, Buda Castle, and Budapest’s beautiful historic centre.

20:15 — Our Michelin-Starred Chef’s Table Experience 🍽️

The highlight of the trip will be dinner at Rumour by Rácz Jenő, a Michelin-starred restaurant famous for its immersive chef’s-table experience around an open kitchen.

The Five-Course Tasting Menu

Our dinner is planned around the restaurant’s five-course Pre-Theatre Menu.

The menu is designed as a surprise tasting experience, with the dishes revealed by the restaurant rather than published in advance. The exact courses available on our date have not yet been confirmed.

Expect creative fine dining, carefully presented dishes, and the opportunity to watch the chefs at work in an intimate, theatrical setting.

💰 Menu price: 47,900 HUF per person, plus a 15% service charge. This is approximately €138 per person including service, depending on the exchange rate. Drinks are extra.

✅ The restaurant table is already booked! You do not need to make another restaurant reservation.

After Dinner — Budapest Nightlife 🎶

For anyone who wants to continue the evening, we’ll head out for drinks, music, and a taste of Budapest’s nightlife.

Joining the after-dinner activities is completely optional.

🎄 Sunday, 20 December — A Winter Day in Budapest

We’ll enjoy another day discovering Budapest’s festive winter atmosphere, with the option to visit Christmas markets, explore the streets, enjoy coffee, or simply relax.

Everyone can choose their own return journey and departure time.

ℹ️ Important Information

Transport: Everyone books and pays for their own transport. The 10:27 train is our suggested group connection, not a compulsory departure.
Accommodation: Everyone arranges and pays for their own accommodation. You can book privately, share with someone by mutual agreement, or return home on Saturday.
Restaurant: The table at Rumour is already booked for our group.
Dinner cost: The five-course menu is approximately €138 per person including service, with drinks extra. Please confirm the final price and payment arrangements before the event.
Other expenses: Transport, accommodation, drinks, and optional activities are paid for individually.
Group size: Limited to six participants for a more intimate experience.
