Big Apple Fall Downtown Tour: HighLine to Wall Street

Hike is free for those who have made the calendar year donation. $10 calendar year donation for others. We leave and return early to avoid problems boarding the train. Usually we have a car or part of a car all to ourselves on the way going and back. It's a comfy fun ride.

8-14 miles (with lots of stops) High Line, Hudson Yards, Chelsea, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, Little Italy, World Trade Center, 911 Memorial, Wall Street Bull, Brooklyn Bridge plus. We go at a decent clip, but we stop about 20 times. This is not an exercise hike.

This is an incredibly cool hike that has taken me 10 years to put together. Each block is exciting and fun. I love the architecture in NYC so we'll be going through the neatest neighborhoods.

DETAILS
We meet at Hamilton Station of NJ Transit at 8 am to take the 824am train arriving 948am at Penn Station NYC. (parking is around $10) If you board at Trenton, the first stop, or another stop, meet us in the back car of the train, upstairs if its a double decker. If you want to meet us in NYC, meet at the separate NJ Transit bathrooms at 950 am. We stop for bite at Hudson Yards right after we arrive, then again for lunch at Whole Foods where we can eat at the buffet. We get in out out quickly. This plan could change, but we will NOT eat where we have waiter service because it takes too much time. We plan to catch the 315pm train back (arriving 437) or the next one at 352pm arriving 510. I find it best to buy the train ticket on my phone, not the computer. Activate before use. Seniors half price: age 62 or older.

To carpool from Hill House (201 W Evergreen Ave, Phila) meet 1 hour before the event. Each carpooler chips in $10 at the start for carpool and parking. Contact me 215 2474459, 3-4 days in advance.
