Project: Stack UP ↑ is an intensive, four-stage developer workshop series created to bridge the divide between academic theory and modern software engineering practice. Rather than teaching isolated coding syntax, the event guides participants through a progressive, hands-on building journey where every session adds a crucial layer to a developer’s functional skill set. From writing foundational client-side web pages to architecting serverless cloud databases and launching production-ready web applications, students gain end-to-end technical experience designed to mirror real-world development workflows.

The curriculum begins with Part 1: Laying the Groundwork: HTML, CSS, JS & You, where students establish a firm base in core web standards, mobile-first layouts, and interactive DOM manipulation to construct the first version of their personal portfolio site. Building on this baseline, Part 2: 2nd Front First, Back Later elevates participants into modern full-stack engineering by introducing reactive, component-driven user interfaces alongside backend API services. In this phase, students learn how dynamic frontend components interface seamlessly with backend routing and controller logic to handle dynamic user interactions.

As application architecture grows in complexity, Part 3: Going into DynaMode introduces persistent cloud data layers by demystifying serverless NoSQL document databases with Amazon DynamoDB. Students master partition key designs, single-table query strategies, and real-time cloud SDK integrations to back their applications with scalable storage. The workshop series culminates in Part 4: Networking in Production: Tools & Tech Profiles, a dedicated 90-minute capstone session focused on taking projects off local development environments and deploying them to live cloud infrastructure. This final stage treats career assets like production code, training students in GitHub repository architecture, generalized cloud deployment, and recruiter-focused LinkedIn positioning.

By completing Project: Stack UP ↑, students undergo a complete practical transformation. They leave the event series not only with a thorough technical understanding of full-stack web development and cloud storage, but also with live, publicly accessible projects and an optimized digital footprint that makes them immediately visible and attractive to tech recruiters and engineering teams.
