Lake Merced is a wonderful place to slow down and really observe the landscape. The shoreline offers constantly changing views as the light moves across the water, creating beautiful reflections of the trees and sky. Keep an eye out for the lake’s resident ducks and other birds—they make wonderful subjects and add a lively touch to the landscape. 🦆

🎒 What to Bring
Bring your preferred portable painting setup—oil, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, or sketchbook—along with a stool or folding chair.
Layers are recommended, as the morning can be cool near the water.
