Please join me for one of my favourite walks, We will start and finish in the picturesque Cotswold village of Blockley, famous as the filming location for the TV series Father Brown. There is a great community café there!
We will walk over the hill to the Batsford estate, home to the famous Batsford Arboretum and then circle back to Blockley enjoying panoramic views of the North Cotswolds, Note that we will be walking through farmland so dogs will need to be kept on leads around livestock and there will be stiles. The terrain will be a mix of woodland paths, open field tracks, and a short stretch of quiet road. There will be some short hill climbs and descents. It can get very muddy after rain so make sure you have sensible footwear.
Hoping for some nice autumn colours!
I can’t guarantee a time to finish, so allow 3-4 hours to be on the safe side. Toilets available at the start/end.
Meet at the café. There is parking available in the village.
I will take a maximum of 12 on this walk.
The fee for the walk is £2 payable in advance with all proceeds going to charity.
