BEYOND WORDS. IMPROVISATION WORKSHOP IN ENGLISH (PAID)

28.11.2026, 10 am to 5pm including 1 hour lunch break and two 10 min breaks.

Beyond Words
This workshop explores improvisation as a way of communicating beyond spoken language. The focus is on authentic human interaction rather than artificial performance, encouraging participants to respond truthfully to the present moment and to one another. The workshop draws inspiration from everyday life, real human behavior, and genuine emotional connection. Instead of relying on pre-planned performances or theatrical clichés, participants are invited to discover how meaning emerges naturally through observation, listening, intuition, and embodied action.

Suitable for anyone interested in expanding their authenticity on and off-stage, this workshop offers a playful yet profound exploration of how we connect with others through presence, truthfulness, and creativity.

The teacher:
Hanna Völkl is a professionally trained musical theater performer as well as a psychotherapist and social worker with 15 years of work experience. She spent 11 years living abroad and even though her passport says “Germany”, she feels like a third-culture kid. Playing improv has always been her way to recharge her creative batteries as there is no right or wrong, it’s all about letting the other person shine and trusting “Yes, and...”.

Payment: 45 Euros per person.
