What: Join the East Tennessee Wanderers for a Group Excursion to the Appalachia Museum in Clinton, TN. The museum offers self-guided tours through their many exhibit buildings. We will explore the museum at our own pace in small groups, not as a whole group. "The Museum of Appalachia, founded in 1969 by John Rice Irwin, portrays an authentic mountain farm and pioneer village, with some three dozen historic log structures, several exhibit buildings filled with thousands of authentic Appalachian artifacts, multiple gardens and free range farm animals, all set in a picturesque venue and surrounded by split-rail fences. There are over 250,000 artifacts housed in 3 multi-story exhibit buildings; vast collections of folk art, musical instruments, baskets, quilts, Native American artifacts, and much more." It tells the stories of the Appalachian pioneers—in their own words on signs throughout the Museum, and through the artifacts they left behind.

When: Saturday, November 14th, 9:00am to 12:00am. Followed by lunch at the Museum Restaurant located on-site. Southern Appalachian cooking.

Where: 2819 Andersonville Highway, Clinton, TN 37716.

Tickets/Cost: The cost will be $20 per person (adult), $18 (65+, Veterans, & First Responders). You will purchase tickets when entering the museum.
