Tacoma Mycelium Magic: Fungi Fundamentals Workshop

Join us for a hands-on introduction to the wonderful world of fungi! Whether you're curious about mushrooms, interested in mycology as a hobby, or just want to learn something new, this workshop is for you. We'll cover the basics of how fungi work, explore different types of mushrooms you might find locally, and talk about why mycelium is so important to our ecosystems. No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity.

This is a casual, welcoming event where we'll spend time learning together, asking questions, and geeking out about fungi in a low-pressure way. You'll get to see some specimens up close, handle materials, and take home some practical knowledge you can actually use. Whether you're thinking about growing mushrooms at home or just fascinated by how these organisms work, there's something here for you.

We'd love to have you join us for this one. If you're interested, please RSVP so we know how many people to expect and can make sure we have enough materials for everyone. See you there!
