17th Annual Bar-B-Qchre on SAT Oct 17, 2026

The 17th Annual Bar-B-Qchre in Golden Gate Park has been officially scheduled for Oct 17, 2026! While we normally host this event the 2nd full weekend in October(i.e. the weekend after Hardly Strictly), there is scheduling conflict this year, so it's getting pushed out a week to Saturday October 17th. So mark your calendars now! TIMING -Arrive any time after Noon. -Grill at 1pm. -Wrap things up by 6pm. WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED -Hot dogs, sausages, buns -Condiments -Plates, Napkins, Utensils, & Cups -Grill, Charcoal, Matches -Water -Cards WHAT TO BRING -Suggested donation to cover picnic area rental & supplies: $5 -Whatever else you'd like to grill if sausages don't float your boat -Side dish/snack/dessert to share -BYOB (Alcohol is permitted). -Jacket, Hat, Sun Screen, Sun Glasses, Blanket, Camping Chairs -LIVE FOG MAP: https://fog.today/ LOCATION - BLUE HERON LAKE BOATHOUSE PICNIC AREA (formerly called Stow Lake Picnic Area) Blue Heron Picnic Area in Golden Gate Park. We have 8 tables and 2 grills with bathrooms nearby. The picnic area is located at the far end of the parking lot, across from the Blue Heron Lake Boathouse.
