Code Talent: 3412 Blake St, Denver, CO 80205
7pm-9pm (doors 6:30pm)
Pizza and Soda provided.

Join us at Code Talent for our Local Expert speaker series featuring Hayden Sather as he discusses "Goodbye kubectl, Hello MCP: Orchestrating Kubernetes in the Agentic Era."

This talk covers how the Model Context Protocol (MCP) gives AI agents safe, structured access to a Kubernetes home lab through typed tools instead of a shell. It compares MCP with `kubectl` and the raw Kubernetes API and shows how RBAC enforces what the AI can do. It also covers skills, resources and the wider MCP spec, so attendees can bring the pattern to their own infrastructure.

Hayden Sather is a Machine Learning Engineer at Axon who works on AI infrastructure, data pipelines, and distributed inference and evaluation. Before Axon he worked at Amazon, and he holds two master's degrees in Computer Science and Data Science from the Colorado School of Mines. He's CKAD certified, runs Kubernetes at work, and self-hosts a range of applications in his homelab.

Doors open at 6:30pm. Attendees are eligible to receive a \free\ print book from our partners at O'Reilly Media upon becoming a member of The Applied Machine Learning Collective of the Rockies! (https://amlcoftherockies.org/members/)
