Around the World in 12 Desserts A Wanderbug National Dessert Day Party Wednesday, October 14 6:30 to 8:30 PM Tammi's House Grab your passport. We're traveling the world one dessert at a time! It's National Dessert Day, and we're celebrating Wanderbug style with an Around the World Dessert Party. Each Wanderbug will bring one dessert representing a country or region of the world. Homemade? Fabulous. From an amazing bakery? Absolutely. Found it at Trader Joe's and fell madly in love with it? That counts too. You do NOT need to be a baker to come! We'll cut everything into small tasting portions and create our own international dessert flight. Then we'll vote for our favorites before revealing who brought what. How it works When you RSVP, choose a country or region you'd like to represent and post it in the comments. Check the comments first so we don't have too many duplicates. Bring one dessert that can provide approximately 12 to 16 small tasting portions. Please also bring a little card with: Name of the dessert Country or region it represents A sentence or two about the dessert or why you chose it Any major allergens such as nuts, dairy, eggs or gluten Don't put your name on the card. We're doing a little blind tasting! I'll provide the plates, utensils, coffee, tea and water water and everything we need for our tasting. The Wanderbug Dessert Awards We'll be voting for: Best Overall Dessert Most Decadent Most Unexpected Prettiest Dessert Best International Discovery The “I Need This Again” Award And yes, there will be bragging rights. Come hungry for dessert, but maybe eat a little dinner first. We're about to consume an irresponsible number of tiny desserts in the name of international cultural exploration. Space is limited to 12 Wanderbugs. Because this event is at my home, it is open to Wanderbugs who have previously attended at least one public Wanderbug event. Happy National Dessert Day!
