You can want children and still struggle to picture the life that would make raising them possible. A spare bedroom, enough time and someone to call when plans fall apart make that decision about more than personal desire. Waiting until everything is secure might be sensible, but it can also mean waiting for conditions that never arrive. What would count as enough support, and how much of that should depend on having the right family, income or luck?
