Visit to the William Morris Gallery at Walthamstow,including Wetlands Walk.

This meet up was very popular last time, Come with me an on this enjoyable meetup, we will meet at Costa Coffee at Walthamstow Central at 11 am for a hot drink, after our hot drink, we will make our way to the William Morris Gallery., where the entrance is free. The William Morris Gallery is a museum devoted to the life and works of William Morris, an English Arts and Crafts designer and early socialist. It is located in Walthamstow at Water House, a substantial Grade II listed Georgian home. The extensive grounds of the building are a public park, known as Lloyd Park. Curiously, we have come across William Morris on other Meetup walks, namely Red House in Bexleyheath and Merton Abbey Mills in Colliers Wood. Water House in Walthamstow is where William Morris lived as a teenager. After visiting the William Morris Gallery, we will get a bus to The Ferry Boat Inn for lunch. For anyone who does not wish to have lunch in the pub there is an opportunity to visit Walthamstow Wetlands, London Wildlife Trust, across the road , where there is a cafe and tables outside where you can eat your own lunch. After lunch we will have a short walk around some of Walthamstow Wetlands then walk to Tottenham Hale Station, where you can get Overground and Underground trains. £7 meet up fee on arrival {please have the right change}.
