Walk 5 km or 10 km.

Our walks are restricted to club members who have paid $15 for a 12-month membership. However, if you would like to try one or two walks before committing yourself to a paid membership, you do have that option. (You’d still need to pay $1.00 for each walk.) For more information about our club and/or to request a membership form, please send an email to [email protected]. In the subject line of your email, write MEETUP.

Walkers will register (sign in) at the start point between 9:30 am and 9:55 am. The walk will start at 10:00 am sharp. Please be on time; we do not wait for latecomers.

Please note: Although the number of attendees indicated on this page may appear low, be assured that you will be walking with many club members who have not RSVP’d. We rarely have fewer than 15 participants at any of our walks.

Route Description:
Part Seawall starting from Coal Harbour, and trails up to Prospect Point and along trails with old trees, including the Hollow Tree, a Vancouver Heritage. This walk will also take us to the Vancouver Aquarium - check out the old bear pit and the Killer Whale sculpture by the famous Bill Reid.
There are two 5K routes: (i) mostly around the east side of the Seawall and back via the Rose Garden (ii) trails to Beaver Lake, then the Aquarium and back via the Seawall.

Immediately following the walk, you may wish to join some of your fellow club members at the nearby lunch venue.

NOTE: Our Meetup site will always show your status as “Unpaid”. This is not a cause for concern. The $1.00 participation fee for the walk is paid at the start point and we will not be recording on Meetup that you have paid it.

If you have any questions, please post them here on Meetup or send an email to [email protected].
