White Bridge to Beasley Flats technical and potentially dangerous!
NOTE:READ THIS POST COMPLETELY BEFORE YOU SIGN UP
Sections 7-9. See photos attached
•Let's have a fun day on the Verde River, October 25th. The weather is pleasant in October, the water is still warm, and the fall colors are beautiful.
•This paddle will be from White Bridge in Camp Verde to Beasley Flats. The run is approximately 10 miles.
•This section of river is technical. Not so much the rapids, but obstacles and debris in the water. There are lots of downed trees, branches, and brush in the water (sweepers and filters) that can roll you out of your kayak and trap you underwater. You will need to be an experienced kayaker in a nimble kayak.
If you are new to kayaking or lack whitewater experience this is NOT the right trip for you. Please do not sign up.
•The paddle trip will be limited to 15 people, so if you sign up, please be committed to going.
PADDLE BOARDS, INFLATABLES, AND KAYAKS 12’ AND LONGER WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ON THIS TRIP.
•You must be proficient in whitewater. Everyone who signs up for this trip will be vetted for proper experience and equipment. If you are an unfamiliar name, you will receive a phone call and be interviewed. If you are deemed to lack the required skills and equipment you will be removed from the list. Please don't take it personal if it happens. It’s for the safety of everyone. We watch out for each other. If you get in trouble, then you also endanger anyone who comes to your aid.
•Beasley Flats is a one hour round trip from White bridge.
We will meet at White Bridge at 8:00am to unload boats and gear. Please be on time.
•At 8:30 we run vehicles downriver to Beasley Flats.
•At 9:30 we are back at White Bridge and the embark on our journey. We will stop for lunch around half way at the West Clear Creek RAP. It is a flat grassy area that will be a good place to take a break.
What to bring:
•kayak/paddle/gloves
•PFD aka Life Jacket
•Water, snacks, lunch
•Rope
Have a great time paddling, exploring and making memories.
