Salem Fungi Forays: Spore Hunting Adventure

Join us for an afternoon of mushroom hunting in the Salem area! Whether you're a complete beginner or someone who's been curious about fungi for a while, this foray is designed to be relaxed and accessible. We'll spend a few hours walking through local woods and fields, learning to identify common mushrooms and fungi in their natural habitat. Our experienced members will share tips on where to look, what to observe, and how to safely collect specimens for study and documentation.

This is a casual, no-pressure kind of event. There's no requirement to know anything going in—just bring comfortable shoes, a sense of curiosity, and willingness to get a little outdoors. We'll have field guides on hand and plenty of time to ask questions as we go. It's a great opportunity to connect with other people who find fungi as fascinating as you do, and honestly, it's just a fun way to spend an afternoon exploring nature together.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please RSVP so we know how many people to expect. Hope to see you out there!
