The Holdovers (Christmas Party) (English w/ Dutch Subtitles)

Note: This is our Christmas evening! The Pulse's bar is open before and after the film, and we're looking into a nearby restaurant for dinner. Details to follow.

How it works

1. RSVP here, so the host knows you're coming.
2. Buy your own ticket from the cinema. A Cineville pass works at most of the cinemas we go to. Where seats are assigned, the host's seat is in the description, so you can book nearby.
3. Meet at the meetup time. It's earlier than the film; we go in together shortly before it starts, so please don't be late.
4. Stay for a drink afterwards. Talking about the film is half the point.

Directed by: Alexander Payne
Starring: Paul Giamatti, Dominic Sessa, Da'Vine Joy Randolph
Runtime: 2h 13m (133 minutes)

Christmas 1970, at a New England boarding school: grumpy history teacher Paul Hunham is left behind to supervise the few students with nowhere to go, among them the sharp, troubled Angus, while head cook Mary faces her first holiday since losing her son in Vietnam. Alexander Payne's warm, funny period piece earned five Oscar nominations, and Da'Vine Joy Randolph won Best Supporting Actress.
