Dead Man is a classic to watch on a big screen. A hallucinatory Western drifting between life and death, Dead Man (1995) is Jim Jarmusch’s haunting meditation on violence, capitalism, and spiritual decay in the American frontier. The film follows William Blake (Johnny Depp), a mild-mannered accountant who travels west for work only to find himself wounded, on the run, and mistaken for the dead poet of the same name. As he moves deeper into unfamiliar territory, Blake is guided by Nobody (Gary Farmer), a wanderer who interprets his journey through poetry, memory, and myth.
