GenAI Montréal @ Lightspeed AI Teammates: Beyond Copilots GenAI Montréal is heading to Lightspeed. This edition explores what happens when AI agents move beyond private coding sessions and become persistent collaborators—inside team workflows, communication platforms, and developer-owned environments. Evening Schedule — October 7, 2026 Lightspeed — 5:30 PM Doors Open 5:30 PM — Arrival & Networking Meet members of the GenAI Montréal community over food and drinks. 6:00 PM — Welcome Introduction to GenAI Montréal Welcome from Lightspeed Overview of the evening 6:10 PM — Speaker 1 6:40 PM — Short Break 6:50 PM — Speaker 2 7:20 PM — Networking & Wrap-Up The evening concludes at 8:00 PM. Speaker 1 Artemii Chugreev Software Developer and Team Lead at Lightspeed Bio Artemii Chugreev is an experienced software developer and team lead at Lightspeed. He enjoys every part of software development, from solving low-level technical problems to mentoring people and leading teams. He actively explores agentic AI, and his team builds solutions that help Lightspeed work more effectively. He is especially interested in how AI is changing software development and how teams can adapt to this new environment. Talk The AI Teammate: Bringing Agentic AI into Slack Abstract Most AI tools make one developer faster in a private session. But what changes when AI becomes a teammate inside Slack? Drawing on the experience of building Luma at Lightspeed, Artemii will explore shared context, tools, memory, safety, and auditability. Beyond the technical implementation, this talk examines how public AI collaboration helps teams reuse investigations, learn from one another, discover new workflows, and adopt AI organically across an organization. Speaker 2 Jeremy Pinto Member of Technical Staff and AI Lead at Onix Bio Jeremy Pinto is a Member of Technical Staff and AI Lead at Onix. He has more than 10 years of experience building deep-learning and AI systems. His current work focuses on building agent harnesses and on training, fine-tuning, and deploying language models in production. Talk Woltspace: Rethinking the Future of Human–Agent Collaboration Abstract Coding agents have transformed how we interact with computers. Once an agent helps you build something useful, what happens next? Woltspace is an open-source vision for new paradigms of interaction, based on the premise that developers should own their code and infrastructure. Wolts make it easy to switch between coding agents while maintaining a persistent identity, memory, and home for the applications they build. Deploying an application from your computer should be as easy as vibe coding it. Jeremy will also explore the concept of colonies of collaborative coding agents and how this new primitive could shape the future of human–agent collaboration. Partner Lightspeed About GenAI
