It is a 19 minute walk to the Starting Point of the Trail, we will be walking through the town of Rathdrum, (there are a lot of narrow paths in this area walking, please be careful)

Coffee Shops in Rathdrum : Coffin Shed, Pitstop Coffee (Local garage) N11 Avondale & Seed Store Cafe.

This trail is a forestry, with lots of red squirrels in the forest, it is next door to Avondale Forest Park and this is a looped trail.

Places : Avonmore River, Samuel Hayes Bridge, Ballgannon Wood, Avondale House, Avondale Forest Park, Tree Top Viewing Tower in Avondale (Charged, €16 for Students & Over 65s, Adult €18).

There are TWO Trains Scheduled back to Connolly Train Station from Rathdrum Train Station at 15:44 PM & 19:38 PM.

15:44 PM Rathdrum : 17:04 PM Connolly in Dublin.
19:38 PM Rathdrum : 21:05 PM Connolly in Dublin.

If we miss the train we will be getting the 183 to Wicklow Town and then getting the 133 Bus to Busáras Bus Station in Dublin

183 to Glendalough (27 Minutes) & Get off in Wicklow Town, this Bus is Scheduled Every 2 Hours.
133 from Colley Row is an hourly service to Busáras by Bus Éireann. (1 Hour & 20 Minutes)
