Witch Series [Part 1]: 'Häxan' (1922) and 'Viy' (1967)

Come join us for part one of our Witch Series!! We'll be watching two old school witch movies:
Häxan (1922) - a Swedish-Danish docu-horror silent film that explores how historical witchcraft and devil worship stemmed from misunderstandings of mental illness, neurological disorders, and hysteria.
Viy (1967) - based on the short story by Nikolai Gogol, this Soviet horror film follows a young seminary student named Khoma Brut who is forced to spend three terrifying nights praying over the corpse of a witch.

Viewer discretion is advised. Movies may contain strong violence, gore, sexual content, nudity, and/or strong vulgar language.
