If you ever find yourself feeling alone and disconnected from the world, needing to compare, judge, or compete with others to get ahead, reaching for relationships or possessions to feel valuable, or feeling like you need to be right all the time, it can be difficult to experience a stable sense of peace.
In this 4-week series, we’ll explore the addictive ways our minds create suffering and how these thought patterns show up in our everyday lives. We’ll also explore love-based thinking as a path toward greater inner peace, connection, and freedom.
We will examine both the addictive thought system and the love-based thought system from the book Healing The Addictive Mind by Lee Jampolsky. There are four components that each system is comprised of. Each week we will focus on one of those components and it’s opposite.
Week 1: Fear vs. Love
Week 2: Returning to the Present
Week 3: Practicing Acceptance
Week 4: From Scarcity to Abundance
We will meet every Monday from 9/21 through 10/19. We will NOT meet on 10/5. Though you are not required to go to each class, the value of the experience compounds with each week you commit to.
Tickets are $20 per class or $80 for the whole series. If this offering really calls to you and you’re in financial hardship, you may pay what you can.
You can Venmo @gabriella-karp and RSVP to this event to reserve your spot!
Please bring a notebook and pen.
About Gabriella:
We’re taught many things in school, but often not how to find peace within ourselves. My own experiences with challenging relationships, loneliness, and feeling helpless to change my experience sparked a deep interest in discovering the patterns of thinking and behaving that can quietly keep us stuck. With a degree in Psychology and a background in relationship coaching, I bring both psychological knowledge and lived experience to exploring how our minds create suffering, and how we can begin to relate to ourselves and others from a place of greater love and freedom.
