Meetup & Picnic in Rotterdam! Asian Culture, Food & Making Friends!

Hi everyone! I’m Tai, a Japanese exchange student who just arrived at Erasmus University Rotterdam. I created this group to build a welcoming, fun community for anyone in and around Rotterdam who loves Asian culture, food, language, and making international friends. Since I just moved to the Netherlands, I’m also super excited to meet locals and experienced expats who can share their favorite spots, hidden gems, and tips for living in NL! Who is this event for? Everyone is welcome! You do NOT need to be Asian to join. Locals, expats, students, and travelers living in or visiting Rotterdam. Anyone who loves Asian food, travel, music, anime, or culture. People learning Japanese or interested in language exchange. Anyone looking to expand their social circle and make new friends in NL. What to expect: A relaxed summer picnic in one of Rotterdam's most beautiful parks. Casual conversations, networking, and making new friends. Sharing life tips in NL (best Asian food spots, travel recommendations, etc.). What to bring (BYO Style!): Your own drinks & snacks (Grab whatever you like from a nearby supermarket like Albert Heijn!) A picnic blanket, towel, or cushion to sit on (if you have one). Entry Fee: €5 per person (Please pay in cash or via Tikkie/Revolut at the event). How to find us on the day: We will meet in the grassy area of Het Park, near the Euromast / Parqiet cafe. I will post an exact pin/photo of our spot in the comments section on the day of the event! Don't worry if you are coming alone—most people do!
