Data Science Portugal (DSPT) is celebrating its 10th anniversary! 🎉

DSPT is officially hitting double digits (watch out, teenage years are right around the corner!) and we are celebrating hard! 🎂

On October 10th (10/10) in Porto, we are taking over the afternoon for a special hands-on session focused on Agentic AI, essential design patterns, and hands-on development with AI agents.

This event is for developers, data scientists, and AI builders who want to stop treating LLMs merely as conversational chatbots and start building real autonomous systems that perceive, decide, and act through tools 💡

🧠 What’s going to happen?
Over the course of the afternoon, participants will:
Take part in a deep-dive talk and workshop: Building Agentic AI: Essential Design Patterns led by Ricardo Pereira (U. Coimbra)
Work in teams to tackle a practical challenge
Use GenAI tools to speed up development and explore creative approaches
Pitch their final solution in a short presentation
Vote for the winning project 🎉
🏆 The winning team will receive tickets to Porto Tech Hub 2026!

👥 Who is this event for?
This workshop is geared toward practitioners and builders who want to look under the hood of autonomous agent architectures:
• Intermediate Python knowledge is required
Curiosity and a willingness to build and experiment with autonomous workflows are essential 💪
