Painting and prepping for the Parish Ale beer festival

This indoors task will help the bell ringers of St John prepare for the upcoming Parish Ale beer festival fundraiser at the end of the month, which will include guided tours of the bell tower.
The main task will be repainting the lower part of the ringing chamber in the bell tower as recent replacement of electrical equipment has exposed older wall surfaces. It will also freshen up areas that have accumulated years of scuffs and general wear and tear.
There may also be some dusting and vacuuming of the ringing chamber, staircase and access routes to the tower to help get everything ready for visitors. And depending on how preparations are going elsewhere, we may also lend a hand around the church, moving equipment, pews and other items, and assisting with preparations for this ever-popular community event.
For this task we will meet at the site directly. Please wear old clothes and footwear that you don't mind getting dusty or splashed with paint!
