We're back for our monthly session with the super-friendly Friends of Danson Park (FODP), helping to maintain the Woodland Walk and other areas of the park. 🌳🌲
This week we'll be planting some sapling trees in the community orchard area of the park, as part of National Tree Week 2026 (https://treecouncil.org.uk/seasonal-campaigns/national-tree-week/).
This session is always a great workout and good fun, with the reward of tea and coffee kindly provided by The Stables afterwards ☕!
It's fine to leave early if you don't want to commit to the full two hours.
There may not be a GoodGym Bexley leader at this task, but the FODP organisers will make you feel very welcome.
📍 Meeting point : 10am, at the toilet block adjacent to Danson House, and next to the sign marking the start of the Woodland Walk. What3Words location: ///plots.task.parks. (Please note, there are other toilets near the children's playground, but it's not those!)
Please bring gardening gloves if you have them 🧤.
This task is ideal if you are running or walking at Bexley parkrun 🚶♀️🚶♂️🏃♀️🏃♂️.
