Delivering leaflets to support Christmas tree recycling

Last year, North London Hospice raised tens of thousands of pounds from generous residents who paid them to collect and recycle their Christmas trees.
With our help, they visited 1,160 homes and, by recycling over 1160 Christmas trees they prevented around 18.6 tonnes of CO₂e from going to landfill. That's equivalent to flying around the world more than three times! Even better, the trees were turned into wood chip that went for free to many north London community gardens and community orchards!
So, this year, we're helping them again. This starts with a leaflet drop, encouraging residents to donate to charity and pay for the service. We'll follow up in January by helping collect the trees from 9-14 January.
We’ll start at the Phoenix Cinema as usual. We’ll aim to cover as many streets as we can and deliver as many leaflets as possible — the more of us that turn up, the more ground we can cover, but we'll aim for about 100 per person, in the local area.
Run details:
📍 Meeting point: Phoenix Cinema (as usual)
📅 When: Late November 2026
📏 Task: Leaflet drop around East Finchley
Sign up, show up, and help turn miles into impact for a brilliant local cause.
