Help Friends of John Innes park with digging out bamboo

The Friends of John Innes Park gardening group take an interest in the upkeep and development of John Innes Park and meet monthly on a Friday to work on the space and are in need of extra volunteers to boost their efforts. The session runs 9-11am so you are welcome to stay longer, just let one of the Friends of John Innes Park team know on arrival and be sure to introduce yourself. The location is the entrance to the park and it's likely you will find other volunteers near to this but we will be meeting at the pond at 9am (which is a short walk, along the path, and through the arch). Bring gardening gloves and a trowel/secateurs are likely to be handy if you have these, but there will be some tools we can use. We have been tasked with digging out bamboo for this one, which is guaranteed to be a good workout.
