Ho ho h-elping at the Santa Sleigh 🎅

Welcome to GoodGym Bexley!

We're a friendly group that combines exercise with practical help for local community organisations and charities. Every Wednesday evening we get together and head to an organisation to complete a physical task that makes a real difference. Afterwards we often go to a nearby pub or café for some social time together.

To get there we usually offer an optional group run. Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, everyone is welcome. We'll run at a pace that keeps the group together, and no one is ever left behind.

Prefer to walk? We can usually offer a group walk too.

🎯The task

🎅 Santa Claus is coming to town...

We’ll be joining volunteers from the Community Hospice, walking alongside the Rotary Club’s Santa Sleigh as it tours the streets of Welling, collecting donations for local community projects and the Hospice.

The walk will be at a slow to moderate pace and will last around 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours— plenty of time to enjoy the festive atmosphere and get those steps in!🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

Note that this task is earlier than our usual Wednesday evening sessions, so please arrive promptly—Santa doesn't want to be late for all the children waiting excitedly to see him!

Be sure to wrap up warm if the weather is cold 🧣🧤 and feel free to wear your best festive hat if you have one!

Meet at the Santa Sleigh at 6pm for a prompt 6.15pm start.
