The White Horse, Chilgrove, East Marden and Hooksway Circular Walk
Join us for a lovely circular walk through the beautiful South Downs countryside, starting from The White Horse pub in Chilgrove and exploring the picturesque surroundings of East Marden and Hooksway.
This route offers a wonderful mix of peaceful countryside paths, gentle climbs and open views across the rolling Sussex landscape. There is enough variety to give us a good workout while still allowing time to appreciate the scenery and enjoy a chat along the way.
The changing seasons make this a particularly rewarding area to explore, with something different to enjoy each time we visit.
The terrain includes some hills and uneven countryside paths, which may be muddy or slippery after rain. Please wear walking shoes or boots with good grip.
This is a moderate walk, ideal for those who enjoy a little variety in the terrain and are comfortable walking 4.5 miles with some uphill sections.
And what better way to finish than with a well-earned coffee and a catch-up at The White Horse afterwards?
A lovely combination of fresh air, beautiful countryside, exercise and good company.
