Join us for a fantastic walk through the beautiful woodland trails and bridle paths of Houghton Forest, before making our way up towards the South Downs Way to Bignor Hill.
This is a hilly walk with some good climbs to get the heart and lungs working. The reward is spectacular views across the South Downs and the opportunity to enjoy some of our most beautiful Sussex countryside.
The route includes woodland trails, chalk paths and uneven terrain, which can become muddy and slippery after rain. Please wear sturdy walking shoes or boots with good grip.
This is a great walk for building your fitness and improving your hill walking. There will be opportunities to push yourself on the climbs, while our walk leaders will manage different walking speeds to keep the group together.
This walk takes approximately 2 hours and includes some challenging hills, so a reasonable level of walking fitness will help you enjoy the experience.
A wonderful combination of woodland, open downland, rewarding climbs and friendly company.
