16hrs (2 Day) Level 3 Outdoor Pursuits First Aid Course

<p><b>Description of your activity</b></p><p>This Outdoor Pursuits 16 hour first aid course is aligned with the institute of outdoor learning (IOL) statement of good practice on Outdoor First Aid at band 3.</p><p>The contents of this course will cover primary and secondary care and are adapted to the outdoor world where the emergency services may be harder to access.</p><p>The course will have elements indoors and outdoors should the weather permit. The course is an ongoing assessment and training via verbal and practical scenarios with a final written assessment at the end of the course.</p><p>It will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to respond to a range of emergency outdoor situations including when and how to move a casualty, major illnesses and injuries, administering CPR and managing an unresponsive casualty</p><p>This course fully meets the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines as per the HSE requirements.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What you will need</strong></p><p>Notepad, pen, lunch, snacks and water. You will be outside for some of the course, so please dress appropriately in clothing that you don't mind getting dirty/grubby.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What to expect</strong></p><p>An intense 16hr (2 Day) course that the course criteria, plus a lot more, delivered by outdoor, medically trained professionals.&nbsp;<br></p>
